The subject

What is Psychology?

Psychology is the scientific study of the mind and behaviour: how people perceive, learn, remember, think, feel and relate to one another. Studying it means learning the major approaches, key experiments and theories, research methods and statistics, and areas such as development, memory, social influence, abnormal psychology and the biology of the brain. It is evidence-based and essay-rich, and it is popular at school and university alike.

Where it is studied: Senior secondary psychology on several boards, undergraduate psychology degrees and introductory modules in nursing, education and management.

Why pictures

Why Psychology is taught visually

Psychology's models are diagrams: the multi-store memory model with its arrows, a neuron and its synapse, a classical conditioning sequence, a bar chart of an experiment's results, a labelled brain, a developmental stage ladder. Drawing the memory model while describing a study links theory to evidence.

The tutor draws the picture as it speaks, one idea at a time, and answers your doubt on the same picture when you interrupt.

Questions

Asked, Answered

Can an AI visual teacher explain psychological studies and models?

Yes. It draws the model or the experimental set-up, explains the procedure and findings aloud, and then shows how the evidence supports or challenges the theory. Interrupt at any point to ask what a result means.

Can it help me with evaluation and essay questions?

It maps an essay on the board: the theory, supporting studies, criticisms and a conclusion. Then it asks a checkpoint question that makes you evaluate a study yourself. Upload past papers and it explains how the questions are typically approached.

Does it cover the statistics part of psychology?

It does. Ask about a test or a graph in your course and the tutor draws the distribution or the chart and explains what it shows. Test Lab offers graded practice and AI-made tests on methods and theory alike.
