The exam
What is ISC?
ISC is the Indian School Certificate, a school board exam (India and CISCE-affiliated schools abroad). English is compulsory and students choose elective subjects according to their intended stream. Each subject is examined through externally set written papers, and laboratory or project work assessed in school where relevant. Papers include structured, short and long-answer questions and expect clear reasoning in prose for humanities and commerce, and full working for sciences and mathematics. Results are accepted by Indian universities and widely recognised abroad.
Who takes it: Students finishing Class 12 in CISCE-affiliated schools across science, commerce and humanities subjects, seeking university admission in India or abroad.

How to prepare
Studying for ISC, step by step
01
Prioritise
Because ISC papers reward depth, practise writing full derivations and long explanatory answers under time instead of only memorising key points.
02
Practise
Keep a formula and definitions notebook per subject from Class 11, since the two-year syllabus is examined together in the final papers.
03
Avoid the traps
For entrance exams such as JEE or NEET, map the ISC syllabus to NCERT chapters early so you cover any gaps in time.
04
Ask, then watch
Type or say a topic in your own words; the tutor plans a storyboard, one picture per idea, and explains it step by step.
05
Interrupt and check
Say "wait, why?" mid-explanation and it answers on the picture; a checkpoint question ends every lesson.
06
Your papers
Upload past papers and notes so the practice follows the exam, and use Test Lab for graded tests.

Questions
Asked, Answered
Can LetMeTeach help me prepare for ISC?
Yes. Ask any topic from the ISC syllabus and the tutor plans a lesson pitched to the exam, explains it out loud with live visuals, stops when you interrupt, and asks a checkpoint question. Because ISC papers reward depth, practise writing full derivations and long explanatory answers under time instead of only memorising key points.
Can I use my own ISC past papers and notes?
Yes. Upload PDFs and images, such as photos of class notes or a past paper, up to 3 files per session and 10 MB each, and the tutor grounds the session in them. Test Lab adds tests from a question bank and AI tests, graded on the server.
Does it teach in the language I study ISC in?
LetMeTeach teaches in 26 languages (including English and Hindi) and plans the lesson in the language you choose rather than translating it. The Free plan includes 7 hours a month with no card.
